Newbie camshaft chain tensioner question was created by willg
I'm sure this topic has been discussed before and I have searched sites high and low and haven't found an answer yet. The question is, would removing my tensioner adjuster and reinstalling it cause my bike not to start?
I first tried adjusting it and when that didn't work it was removed, cleaned and put back in. After installing it my bike won't start. Does anybody have any ideas that may help?
Thanks in advance,
Will

I don't know what kind of motorcycle you have, but if you do not follow the instructions in the Kawasaki Service Manual or the Owner's Manual you can F up your engine removing and installing the tensioner wrong. It may not look like it, but it is a very important piece of the engine. Ed
