77 kz1000 engine bored to 1075cc under a 1000 miles, however need to remove cylinder head and its stubborn. Any suggestions? Prying is just enough to let oil seep out but not lifting the block. Should I position the pistons a certain way?

What have you removed so far? You're going to have to remove the cams (hold up the cam chain with a wire or something) and remove all the head nuts including the two 6mm bolts by the #1 and #4 spark plugs.
