My question is how much is involved in changing the oil seal on that there drive shaft that the sproket is connected to? Could it be coming from something else? I have searched this forum but didn't find the answer. Thanks in advance for your help.

I guess what I am wondering is what needs to be taken apart to change the seal on the shaft that the front sprocket is attached to. Can the old oil seal be taken off and a new one put on while the engine is in the frame? Am I totally an idiot and there is someting else I am completely missing? I hope that clarifies my question.

Remove sprocket.
Screw 2 woodscrews into seal one each side.
Use pliers to pull on screws to pull seal out.
Fit new seal.
Assemble.
Race local police.
