Hi could anyone help me out with this one i have a z1000 mk2 1015cc engine that was set up for shaft drive i want to put it back to chain drive i have replaced gears but not sure on the shift rods and shift drum i think i also have to change the gear and neutral position levers and springs

afaik,
you need to take the complete trans from a chain drive and install "everything"from the chain drive into the shaft drive.
if you can look at/measure all the pieces to confirm or deny fitment maybe you can piece it together.
the safe bet is to swap everything completely,that way you take the dumba$$ outta the middle.

Shift drums are different between chain and shaft, at least the outside where the lever turns it.
