This is from the Dyna web site installation instructions pdf file for the coils you have "Works with all types and sizes of spark plug wires"

www.powercommander.com/downloads/Support...C1-2_1-3_3-2_3-3.pdf

Yes, the coils you are using will work with solid core wires. The current instructions also say that resister wires will work just as well.

For what its worth I run Dyna Green coils, with my Dyna, and solid core wires (forget the brand, but the ones carried at Z1 in any case.)

I found the selection a little confusing between the gray and green coils, but when I researched it seems that a lot of people with 650/750s' had gone with the greens as well, so I went that way.

They've worked perfectly for me since installation, and I found that after install and timing, just a little adjustment of of the air screws was need to get dead on at idle (with the help of a colortune.) Jetting was already pretty damn good, so I didn't mess with it.

I did a similar once over of the bike trying to figure out what the problem was before swapping out the mechanical ignition for the Dyna, and cleaned alot of nasty connections and suchlike before finally spending the dollars on the Dyna. Turns out it was bad condensers. So... A somewhat expsensive fix, but I`ve been super happy with the results, she fires better a faster than before, presumably because of better voltage to the coils, and in increase in spark voltage with the new system. Keep at, I think ultimately you`ll be happy with the results.

Just my 2 cents.
