Definitely NOT a MAC. Looks like a V&H sidewinder to me. Measurement will be the deciding factor

Anyone know if they made a black sidewinder? My pipe was black to start with, I just re-painted it. I agree it does look a lot like the V&H sidewinder. Only 3.5" OD on the baffle, 3.75" at the end of the megaphone.
Upon closer inspection, my pipes don't go to the same spots on the collector as the sidewinder. Sidewinder has far 2 pipes become top 2 on collector. Mine doesn't. Cylinders 1 & 2 become the top & bottom on left side of collector, 3 & 4 become top & bottom on right side of collector.

Looks a lot like the old R-C I used to have, don't remember for sure but I think R-C stands for Race Crafter.

There were so many different pipe builders / sellers in the past it is very hard to tell just what one is with out some sort of marking on them, or a known one to compare them to.
Here is a list - certainly not complete of exhaust makers past and present -
Alphabet
Bassani
Denco
Hooker
Jardine
Kerker
Mac
Murray
RB Racing
RC Engineering
Vance/Hines
Winning Performance
Bill Wirges
Yoshimura
Robert Behn or RB Racing
Moto Martin
Moriwaki Race Systems
Muzzy
Hot bike / denco
datyona
star racing star pipe
micron
wolf
carron
racer 1 -dicks cycle west
laser
harris
I am sure there are many many more.

gd4n0w, that list brings back memories.
If the pipe is 3.750 ID, I'd go with the Kerker style comp baffle from here:

Thanks for all the help. Seems my exhaust is still a mystery. I had no idea that many different manufacturers made systems for the Z1 back in the day.
My current baffles decided to eject themselves from the bike while I was riding to work today. I noticed the increase in sound immediately, and was able to stop and pick it up before it was crushed by any cars. Stashed it by a power pole and picked it up after work.
The fall completely separated the perforated pipe portion of the baffle from the end cap. Since the completely open exhaust was giving me a headache in the 10 minute ride home, I was desperate to quiet things back down. I welded the end cap back to the baffle tube and re-installed with new bolt and lock washer. I think I'll order some packing and I'll be good to go. I was pleasantly surprised that the weld seems to be pretty solid.
I once read a funny line... "Having a welder does not make you a welder." That's very true for me. Borrowed my uncle's MIG somewhat indefinitely. I haven't used it much, just a couple odd jobs. I definitely need more practice. Lucky for me, the welds are inside the end cap and not easily visible!
Thanks again for the information. Helpful as always.
