Shorter throttle cable?

So, I put the clip-ons back on the bike, and they are there to stay now. One issue with them is that I have probably 3-4inches or more of slack in the throttle cable, so I can't find a good way to route it without having something stick out. Any suggestions would be appreciated if I can fix the issue without having to buy a shorter throttle cable.

when i first put the clubmans on my 650 i had the same problem. u can route it around the headlight or something like i did. 2 years later the cable broke at the engine n the side of the road. i htched a ride back home and i snagged the clutch cable off my 76 kz 400 so i could get the 650 back to the house.....i nver took it back off. it fits so much better and a new one for the 400 was onlylike $15. it will actually probabl work even bettr for you since your clipons are are probably even lower than my clubman bar.
