Wish you were here. I have an old one I would sell you. Would probably only cost a million dollars to ship to the UK these days, plus tariffs of course. I currently run a MAC, they are the only current suppliers of new systems I know of. Have you checked the UK ebay?

Thanks. I have indeed checked ebay UK & nothing!! I seriously cant find anything.

Yes, shipping is ranging from $60 to $80 from USA to N Ireland for a full MAC

What colour are your downpipes & what condition are they in?

*edit* 2nd hand ones might do me as i think i'll have to cut them to reduce the diameter of the pipe where the silencer slips on. Looks like i'll need to get it to 45mm or so to take a silencer from this site.

Take a look at the Shorty Silender or custom silencer (below the shorty)

I have both parts, the 2-1 header pipe and the canister/baffle. It's black because I painted it with black hi temp paint. The condition is pretty good for it's age, it had some minor surface pitting which is why I stripped it and repainted it.

The upside is it made good horsepower. I ran it for maybe 20 years. The downside are two things: the header pipe blocks the oil drain plug. It is pretty loud when you open the throttle up wide, I got tired of the howl.

That looke sweet!! My 1st choice would have been chrome though as my enging will hopefully get painted Black!

However, if you consider going to the effort of shipping i'll consider buying, how much are you selling it for?

Do me 1 favour though, just check the diameter of the conical section where the 2 headers join & the muffler slips on, i need to be able to cut it down (reduce the 'cone' size) so that the exit is no more than 45mm, is that possible?

Thank you

I am not sure how to ship things out of country. Who does that?

The diameter of the header pipe where it goes into the canister is 2.5 inches which is about 64 mm if my math is right. To get to 45 mm you would need some kind of tapered sleeve to neck down from 64 to 45.

FYI, the pipes did have some surface rust pitting which doesn't show in the photo but you can see it up close. If you want them to be really beautiful, you would have to powdercoat them.

I'm no expert in metal work. I suppose the cone could be cut and shrunk and welded in some way. Necking down close to an inch seems like a major endeavor.

I put a MAC 2 into one on my 750 Twin a few years ago and couldn't get the exhaust gasket to seal up.

I ended up using a wooden closet dowel to bend the head pipe. Would I buy another? Cornsiderin the price, Yes!

I rejetted and all's been good since.
