Have a 1.5 street baffle. Was thinking about the 2" competition baffle. Anyone done this and did you rejet?

So how much louder is the comp baffle compared to the street baffle? I've been pleased with the street baffle, but a 1.5" exhaust opening doesn't exactly scream "FAST" :silly:

its depends on what u want.
the 1.5 will give more bottom end the 2" more top.
my guess is the 1.5 will suite your small motor better. just try it and see which u like best. the jetting will be close.

2" most likely obnoxiously loud...

The 1.5" on my 900 is loud enough to be heard but not deafening at idle, around town, low rpm riding etc....

On the open road (Hwy/Fwy), twist her up. Oh yeah she get's louder and just sings that beautimuss Kerker sound...

Buzz @ Dynoman described it this way to me when researching which baffle to go with.... 1.5", passenger with helmet, she'll be able to hear you...

2" same scenario, nope, she won't be able to hear you and vice versa... I'm not so sure that would be a bad thing though....

I have the 2" baffle, not too loud at low RPM, pleasantly loud at high RPM, makes you want to revvit just to hear the sound. Very nice. The 2.5 supposed to be very loud.

Actually im looking to stay at a low hornet buzz. I decided to go with a 1.5 competition baffle. Just hope with the increased exhaust flow rejetting wont be an issue. So is there any one running the 1.5 comp baffle?

I most of missed it but Stock exhaust now?

Too many variables (engine build, valve, P&P, E.I., elevations, climate etc...) to say what worked in mine is going to work in yours especially considering I have 29mm CR's....

I forget who posted this (think is was Tek or Patton) anyways, maybe this will help get you started....

NOTE: As to the accuracy of these calculations, seems well enough in theory but.... truly unknown.
