The cam sprocket skipped a tooth knocking out the timing on my KZ250. Found the lock pin on the rear of the cam sprocket worn - got a new sprocket.
Following the factory manual I'm redoing the timing
- crankcase rotor at the T mark
- cam sprocket pointed upwards aligned with the KZ250 mark the top.
The piston is at the bottom of the cylinder when on the T mark and the cam sprocket is pointed up at the KZ250 mark - shouldn't the piston be at the top of the cylinder?
When I turn the engine over it blows out the carb port and sucks in on the intake port!
