Any good suggestions as pipes on bike are solid but need coating. Have heard good and bad on High temp powder coating (ceramic?) but not sure cost and if worth it?? Also some posts on low tech use of high temp grill paint but not sure this will hold up. What experiences people have here?

Wrap em Looks cool Or I use grill paint Flat Black seems to hold up pretty good. All depends on what you want to spend. an exhaust can pretty much make or break the bike as far as looks go. The flat heat paint goes on really nice with no streaking if your good with a spray can:laugh:

Surface preperation for a good exhaust paint job is a must.
If there is rust or old paint, find a sand/bead blaster to remove the old coatings before attemping to spray a new coat on.

Thanks for input Rundog. I'm really tring to remain stock look so flat black that will hold up is the goal. Certainly flat black high temp paint from Auto store is the cheapest I suppose. Any brands suggested that have worked for people? Assume I should prime as well with high temp? What about ceramic powder coating does anybody have a guess on what this might cost and if it would be that much better?

www.plasti-kote.com Hi-temp paint. Do not by aluminum color. It does not look aluminum. Looks like shit. flat black covers the best You can get high gloss also. I do not know how much ceramic costs Every thing ive ever seen is really glossy. Unless you bike looks like new I would say it will stand out a bit much

I used the VHT type black stuff for many years. Pipes must be clean, apply thin coat, cure paint with heat gun or paint will bubble off. The hi temp paint is OK but has to be redone every year or two.

Someone posted a link to this site on another thread www.lo-ko.com/services.html

According to the author they do excellent work, and ceramic coat the inside and outside of the pipe for about $125 + shipping.
