Hard to imagine both 2 and 3 lost compression at same time.
Possible though
The one ignition coil fire 2 and 3

Mike, I'd pull #'s 2 & 3 plugs & perform a leakdown. A blown head gasket between 2 & 3 would cause your' prob. & not be apparent from the outside. luck G
i m with gane.....could have let go and is blowing compression down the cam chain tunnel.....see if you have a lot of oil where the breather ends up...should be near the air filter on a stock bike.....its a possibility....

...took the valve cover off and by looking at it they seem about the same. when I turn it over it looks like its working well ports were all opening and closing in all 4 cylider but I will check it any how....
Will need a thickness gauge.
Correct valve gap is 0.05 mm ~ 0.10 mm.
It's okay to go slightly wider, but wouldn't exceed 0.15 mm.
Need any help with the valve gap checking procedure?
Btw, what year bike?
