well, i was actually planning on straight piping it anyway.. i kinda wanted to know if i could damage my bike with it wide open where that hole is located now..
Imo, it won't damage the bike.
Good Fortune!

So i went outside to start my motorcycle for the day.. I do at least one time everyday and i let it run for a minute or so if im not going to be going for any rides.
OK - a little off topic, but... STOP DOING THIS.
Your introducing fresh warm moisture into the engine every time. Its the best way to #@^% up a motor in any application!
These engines actually cool fairly well, and it could take many, MANY minutes of idleing to get the oil/engine hot enough to purge ALL of the moisture in there. Most cool days, I could let my engine isle for 30minutes+ and still have fog in the oil sight window. With a fan pointed at the head to keep the top end cool, the bottom end takes FOREVER to heat up!
Just try to ride the bike for more than 30 minutes at a time before shutting it down. The longer, the better. Then don't start the bike again until you intend on riding it.
Do the same before an oil change as well.
It will save your motor!
Best of luck!

Ok, i know the video is short, i was getting ready to leave soon so i figured i would make a video quick before i left. Anyway, there it is. You can see clearly where the pipe broke off. If you look closely, you can see it flame out when it popps at 1:45-1:46.. TeK9ine, you said it would have no low end power and that it would have weird dead spots and stuff?? mine runs like a monster still. my main jet size is 122.5 i think which is stock. and it is kinda wide open too.. i still have tons of low end power and it will fly clear through till 7500 RPM if i want it to. (im not comfortable with speeding up the motor much more than that)
are my pilot adjustment screws just way off or something, causing it to run this awesome still?

I am guessing your apartement complex neighbors have already nominated you "resident of the year".
Haha, i was just thinking the same thing   Hell i live in a house, and when i would fire up my 650 with the kerker people would get pissed, and when i would start my 900 with the wide open sidewinder header, lets just say the police came over more than a few times.

Some of the people up here tried to get me and my dad booted out for starting our bikes and leaving in the middle of the night.
Reminds me of when I was a kid. My best friend threatened to kill me because his baby sister would wake up screaming every night when I passed his house coming home from work at 12:30 AM. My BSA ran open headers, and I swear I barely idled coming down the street, but at night inside a house I guess it sounded pretty damn loud. Ed
