For those not running the tach guage, what do you use to plug the tach drive. Anyone make anything for it?

u could take the end off of the cable, insert a block off cap (with a dab of sealant), and thread it onto the stock housing with out the drive gear.
just use your imagination to find something to block the hole in the cap. maybe just cut a disk from a piece of metal ?

As far as 1 that is ready to bolt in, try this:

Other wise a measurement for a soft Welch/ Freeze plug, probably a buck or less.

i made my own.one of the nice things about having a lathe.i just turned down some aluminum stock to the od.of the tach drive and cut an oring groove then robbed the o-ring off my drive and re-used the clamps from the tach drive.

That's exactly what I'm gonna do if my tach doesn't work for me and I wind up with one of those electric speedo thingies.

The part I linked was for the 900/1000, and it doesn't list an application for a 650. I would have to guess no, but I'm no expert on 650s.

Take the gear shaft out, thread the housing for 6x1.0. Use and allen head bolt with a washer. Loctite the bolt in. Mine's done like that and doesn't leak a drop.

pretty much did what mark said.

took out the plug, removed the gear drive thing. took the screw on cap from the tach cable and pluged that with a shaved down dime with sealant. then used sealant to seal the cap screwed onto the plug. should work.
