it's angie from the uk.
q1) does anyone know an online USA supplier (i live in the uk!) where i can buy some reed valve blank off plates in billet aluminium for the KZ750 ltd H2 1981 please. i've contacted A.P.E. and they have some, but they're for the 1000cc kawasaki. The dimensions are different, centre to centre.
q2)does anyone technical know the grade of the aluminium billet that they would use to make them please?
q3) have anyone ever modified the OEM covers like the one photo'd here, this my actual bike please?
q4) has anyone ever 'JB Weld' welded two pennies inside the OEM covers please, is this safe with the engine compression etc?
many thanks
angie

There's a machinist here named "Black Banshee" who would know more than me about Aluminum types.
He might even be able to make what you need, just give him the dimensions.

How thick does it need to be? What's the back look like? Can't you make one out of 1/4? plate? A jigsaw with the right blade will cut 1/4" aluminum. Then just clamp the original plate to the new one and drill your holes.
And if you want it to look really good a little work with a file and then some sandpaper will do wonders.
Or get a cam cover off a 750 Turbo, I don't recall them having that stuff on them.

Who -- what -- is TPO?
Oops, went back up and found it. Hate these senior moments.
Thanks for the link, MFolks.
