Funny thing - there was some guy named "Wireman" making comments in my old post. What ever happened to that guy? He seemed like kind of a jerk...

A 1327 in a stock block would have thicker sleeves than a stock KZ1000. Do you know the OD of the sleeves in your 1260?

a 900 block bored to 1015 will not give you a problem. but a better avenue is get a 1015 block and bore to 1075 which leaves you more meat in the sleeves vs 900 going to 1015. i have kz1000 blocks in nice shape no broken fins etc if interested. you may need to clearance a 900 upper case a little to get block on. some cases you do some you don't email me if you need a 1015 block at b.flood@myactv.netMark1122 - Where are you measuring that temperature? is that oil temperature in the pan? or cylinder block temperature?
I am just interested because I am planning to go from stock 904 to 1015 which I believe is as big as I can go on stock liner and was wondering how hot that will run compared to what you guys are talking about (maxing out
a sleeve size)
I believe the liner goes down to .060" per side.

Wow, that seems like it would really make cylinders 2 and 3 run hot with no air getting in there. I was looking for an excuse to change my set up but I think I might look into a larger oil cooler instead of a big block. Too bad, I used an NOS Derale oil cooler that looks really cool but is kind of small. Would probably be good for the stock '78 KZ.
