Holy Rotor Adhesive Batman! I was right?

Be back later guys, I'm off to invest in lottery tickets....
  :woohoo:

PS: On mine it only seamed to be the adhesive at the very edge. I checked as best I could and none of the magnets seemed loose at all. Would that small amount of adhesive really unbalance the rotor? It doesn't seem a few grams (if that) would bother the balance, of course on mine it was enough to destroy the stator but I never found any of it in the oil or pan.

Have any troubles with it now? I'm thinking I'll probably clean up where it is likely to flake off, check the magnets to see that they seem solid and put her back together. These rotors seem like they're pretty hard to get judging by ebay

Edit:
Roy, what kind of damage ensued when the magnets came loose?

Lets just say that the magnets are hard to get out of the engine. It actually locked up as I was turning the engine trying to get the bits of magnet out. I had to pull the cams to get that piece out.

It would be bad news running down the road.

I worked on a 454 for a local shop just tuning the carbs. I knew I did every thing right but the bike just didn't run right.

The owner said, "the bike runs better than it ever did." I asked him to let me check it out again and I forget why but I pulled the rotor side off and there was one magnet left.

The bike was very sluggish.

It was hard to find a rotor.

I got the bike back together and suggested to the owner to sell it ,which he did.

My 1075 engine consisted of running a total loss ignition for three months before I found a flywheel on eBay for $9.99. There was a note in the box telling me ,"You got this cheap." Roy

I'm just shy of 3,000 miles and haven't had a single problem yet. I simply removed all the loose stuff, did not replace any adhesive. Cleaned her up spotless, replaced the destroyed stator and put her all back together. Charging system works fine, I don't feel any vibration. I'm really curious to see what Roy says about having the magnets let go, I'm very willing to bet it's not a pretty sight. Instant parts bike...

There were little chunks and big chunks.

I'll post a pic if I remember.

I kept the one with no magnets in it for a faster reving engine!!!

I'd be interested in those pictures roy! I think I'll go to the local bike bone yard (haven't checked it out yet, heard the guy likes his money) and see if there's any perfect condition mkII magneto rotors lying around for $5
