Hate to reopen this thread, but I got my exhaust in Friday. Unfortunately, the picture in the ad was a little misleading. Plenty of surface rust on the outside (not really a problem as I was going to blast them anyway), but there is a significant amount of rust on the inside of the headers. Surely this can't be good for exhaust flow?
I called the guy and he is willing to take them back and refund the purchase price (less shipping). He said he recently purchased the company and wouldn't have knowingly sent product out in that condition.
My question is, should I send them back, or is there a good abrasive for getting at the rust on the inside of the headers. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
-SCott

I think nearly every old exhaust system in use has rust in it and it won't hurt anything until the metal gets thin and rusts through....
You could use rust stripper but I think it screws up the chrome.
