Finally got my Kerker!

Do you think that would also save a black Kerker ??

I just bought 2 new ones for my 550's. One in black and another in Chrome. I got a great deal due to the fact that the bike they are for (ZRX400) isnt imported to the US. Hopefully the port spacing/dimensions are similar....then I won't have to ruin the stock finish to mod them.

All i know is my friends with thier headers coated with jet hot have held up for years.

Well...if I don't have to cut and paste to make them fit then I might consider getting the coated.

River... go with the 1.5" comp baffles... They're not obnoxiously loud at idle or just around town... If you have a passenger w/helmet, you can still hear to communicate.

Same time, hit the Highway and twist it or in a Mountain road, yeah baby that sweet old Kerker sound we all love...

Kawickrice, I checked to see it the Kerker pipe would fit onto my Mac header. It won't directly fit. The Kerker megaphone is a little larger than the Mac collector pipe. Plus, there's that curved section of pipe on the Mac megaphone that lengthens the whole thing. But I don't think it would be impossible to get a muffler shop to make up an adaptor with a extension/bend in it.
But looking at some of the other posts on exhausts, it also doesn't look like it would be too difficult to make that old Mac pipe into a faux Yosh pipe. That looks even easier.

Well, I got her on there, and man does she look sweet now!
Rode around a little yesterday, just around town. Too many cops on the road during the weekends to let her rip very much. But running with the stock baffle, she runs pretty decent:
