Well I have rebuilt my carbs this year, so the float valve assemblies are new.

I had noticed that my oil level had gone up though, I figured it was just that the oil had expanded because the bike was hot, and I had brought it to the marker during the oil change while the bike and oil were at room temperature.

How would the gas get into my oil though?

It seemed like the problem happened all of a sudden. I suppose the proper step to take would be draining the oil and making sure the floats arent leaking?

Where too much fuel enters the float bowl (for whatever reason) and fails to escape though the overflow (for whatever reason), fuel can rise up into the carb throat and make its way to the combustion chamber where it flushes down around the piston into the crankcase.

Would also expect to see fuel dripping from the pod.

Good Fortune! :)

Well, I suppose Ill do an oil change and check my carbs.

Not sure how that would make where the headers connect to my exhaust kinda gooey though. I suppose Ill keep pissing around with it until I managed to get it to run right. I wish I knew if it was a compression problem.

Fuel intrusion into crankcase does not result from low compression.

Excessive richness in fuel mixture results in extra goo being discharged through exhaust port, which escapes past poor seal (for whatever reason) at copper gasket area.

Good Fortune! :)
