THIS IS WHY I"M HERE!!!!!!!You guys are the best.

I'm going to run some Seafoam first, simply to clean it out (+keep riding B) ), and get the valves prepped for a real measurement.

It's hard to believe you have to go through this every 3k, I'm hoping they are still in spec.

trust me it's not that bad, you should try living with a solid lifter cam small block chevy.

I bought a starter kit of shims put together by K&L from cheapcycleparts.com this allowed me to get mine set after a valve job. It come with a decent assortment for CHEAP. Bought some for my 550 as well.
