1075 kit on my 74 Z1 900 was created by oldkaws4ever
So, i have all the major goodies to start my motor build. I scored a set of very low mile almost brand new wiesco 1075 pistons last lear, i just scored a freshley bored out kz 1000 cylinders bored to 1075. What should i do to my crank?. I wouldnt feel very safe throwing the 1075 kit on the 40,000 mile z1 bottom end. Im going to have it tested to see if it's straight, then have it balanced, then welded. My buddy is one hell of a welder, so im going to have him brace my frame for me. I have the kz 1000 head on there now, if funds are there i will send it to Larry Kavanaugh. Any other idea's or suggestions would be great. Thank you.

The block should be bored to the piston that is designated to run it. Measure the piston to cylinder clearances and check the bores to see of they're straight.

1075 is not a large motor for that crank. I am running a very well built 1150 on a stock pressed crank. Make sure that the cylinders fit your cases. You may or may not have to have them bored. Check your ring gaps from your new pistons in the new cylinder block.
