No, I use a local machine shop. I understand APE does very good work based on what's posted here. In your case, you probably only need the valves/seats/head cleaned and lapped and reinstalled with new seals. At 6K miles, I seriously doubt any of the valves need replacing or grinding on. Bad seals will leave a bunch of burned on oil gunk around the valve seat and into the head, so that has to be stripped out for sure.
