i want to put a good 4 into 1 on my KZ1100 its an 81' i have looked every where for part numbers for the V/H on the 1100 and i cannot find none, the cheapest place i could find a new one was at DENNIS KIRK $327.99 for the Vance&Hines street megaphone not bad to your door, there are two different headers for the KZ1000 model one for a model KZ1000A 77-80'
and one for a model KZ1000J 81-82' does anyone know which one will fit better on my 81' KZ1100 shaftie:unsure: ,and what jetting will work best on the bs34's with that pipe on it,my pipes coming from engine down into the mufflers don't really look the greatest instead of getting them rechromed i would rather just put the new V/H street pipe on this winter i may beef the motor up a little anyway
any help here would sure be appreciated

Thanks Ted

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought the exhaust spacing and fit was different between the 1000 and 1100?

I thought the 900 and 1000 were similar, but I thought the 1100 was wider. I could be wrong, I don't own one.

thats exactly why i posted this thread,is because i want to know for sure myself,i was told by a couple of guys that the 1000 would work but the mounting would be different but
thats all i was told,i want to make sure to before i spend that kind of money and have to hack something all up,i don't mind having to fabricate a bracket but i don't want to be cutting on new factory chromed pipes,i'm sure someone will know more than me:lol: ,about this anyway

I have that pipe and from what I know it should bolt up to your 1100 head as far as the rest of the bike dont know.

My point was, if they show the same part number for all three bikes, it's likely that the ones for a KZ1000 interchange to the KZ1100, except for the mounting brackets or possible interference with the center stand or something similar.
