Searching for the official KZ550 Shop Manual...

Let me apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong location. I noticed a similar thread under the engine link so I thought I'd go for it. I'm looking for a download (PDF) of the OFFICIAL shop manual for my KZ550. NOT the Clymer manual. I have an actual copy of that one already. I looked on the forum and all over the internet but it all keeps coming up Clymer. That one leaves out some crucial information I think and I wouldn't mind being able to use the exploded views in the shop manual. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, you are correct, all the downloads appear to be Clymer. Ebay is a solution but it will not be free and will take some time to acquire the manual. There is one there now:

Within the last 30 days, I have seen a link from a post on this site, to another site with the factory KHI manuals available for free download, in .pdf form.

The KZ1000/KZ1100 manual I d/l'd last was 370 pages.

I apologize for not being able to direct you straight to that link, but will continue to search for it, hoping that in the meantime, someone else will beat me to it.

I believe this is the ebsco site ... lots and lots of manuals, not all of which are the KHI manuals...many pdf's are Clymer, including the desired 550 manual.

Go to www.wgcarbs.com on the forum and see if they have a manual in their download section.another website is: www.japparts.ni It's a Dutch Kawasaki website.

I think the site I was looking for is "manualz.com or some variation of that name.

But, when I visited that site I saw it is down due to hackers/spammers, and is scheduled to return in the future with the manuals hosted offsite somewhere.

I've searched for years, and so far, the factory one is not online.

I have a 1983 KZ550 shaft manual
Factory part # 99924-1041-01
Covers 1983 KZ550-F1 and M1 models.

Clymers are not quality! They suck

How's this one look? I believe it might just be what you're looking for.
Don't ask me where it really came from. A friend sent it to me when I got my 1980 KZ550.
