Gonna try and have it welded as Time Bomb advised me,;) BUT it's hard to find a welder that will actualy weld in this area! :angry:
1974 Z1 with a MKII And a 1105 big bore kit 10.5 to 1 comp. Andrews 2x cams ported head dyna s with green coils V&H sidewinder pipe airshifter 4in.over arm

It is my rider but mostly it's just a little hotrod to play with on weekends at the local drag strip :ohmy:

I'm wondering if it could be welded in the bike? maybe u could trailer it to a shop and have it done while is still in the bike?

That is what I'm trying to do is have it welded with the motor on the bike, as TimeBomb told me just gotta be careful with not letting slag or dirt get inside the motor. I have the oil pan off and the boss is near the bottom of the motor so I"m sure I can keep it clean. BUT my problem so far is finding a welding shop in my area to do it.:(

make sure your battery is unhooked as the power from the welder can fry some electrical componets.
