1100 sleeves in a kz block??? was created by jordan
I am looking to build a 1200cc motor as many of you know and am trying to piece things together. Sleeves are about $85 a piece to go 1200cc's. Since an 1100 kaw can be bored to 1170cc's i was wondering if it was possible to put 1100 sleeves into a kz block? I would be satisfied with an 1170 motor if i can save a couple hundred using sleeves from a kz1100 or gpz1100 block.

I don't know anything 1100 sleeves. But you can get sleeves for $55.00 each from Star Racing. That would save you $120.00............

I have sleeves from LA sleeve and I just had them bored to 1260cc with the stock block. I just saw a stock block on ebay that claims to be 1327, but I can only vouch for the 1260 kit. You'll have to bore your cases though.

Yea, mine is definitely stock. It still has the "1015" on it. I had it machined and sleeved myself. I can't say for sure on the 1327 block, but that's what the guy on eBay claimed. I wouldn't trust a stock block to be bored that thin.

Yoy can bore the KZ block to take GPZ1100 sleeves. Not sure you could get ever the Chinese sleeves for $55.00, but the good sleeves are $68.50

You can fit 1100 sleeves in the 750 block, let alone the 1000

I have a 73mm bore 904cc 750 turbo motor with 1100 sleeves and I know of another 904cc GPz750 (non turbo). The stock block does get pretty lightweight though..
