Hi Fairly new here but not to old bikes. I picked up some nice low mileage 1980 kz750 cylinders and pistons that have the correct design for the cam chain adjusters mounts for my 79 650 block.

My question is will my 650 cylinder head work correctly with the 750 cylinders if I swap out to 750 cams? I've read that the cam sprockets from the 650 cams can be swapped over to the 750 cams. Is this correct?

Also, how big a carb can I realistically get away with assuming a Vance pipe and K&N pods? Will the 26mm 900 carbs bolt on there?

Any other advice about the swap much appreciated.

yes it will work. you may need to drill out 2 holes for bolts IIRC 6mm to 8mm?
26 or 28mm carbs. use the correct intake boots for the bigger carbs
