weird noise out of clutch cover ( with video ) was created by kawsakiman
i went for a short ride today on the parkway (about 50 miles) and heard this noise when i got off the parkway.
i was not really into it at all. mostly 65-70 mph @ 4,000 -5,000 rpm's.
now this is a new noise to me. it sounds like something is loose in there. goes away under slight load.
think the basket springs let go and are rattling?
about the last thing i need is to tear apart another motor right now.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

Get a new gasket,lean the bike on the side stand,and remove the cover. It sound like loose clutch springs or the clutch basket. Not too hard of a fix as parts are still available.

it also could be because of the nut holding the clutch basket in place on the input shaft has backed off. tear the clutch cover off and have a look put the bikeon the side stand and you won't even leak oil.
