hey if you have to schnitz racing has different sized gaskets they are the same id and od but have different thickness, on some older used pipes that i have put on in the past i have doubled gaskets lot's of times i've never really noticed a differance. the gaskets from a trx400-450 honda utility quad will work as well as the exhaust gaskets from kz1100 they are quite abit thicker as they are made from woven materials. lots of sources for those.

I had the same problem with my Kerker.
I used 2 sets of stock copper o-ring gaskets.
I see on the Z1E web site that u can buy thicker 1's, as Jeff mentioned.I may try them next.i have some stock clam shells i can measure for u.realy all u need to do though is measure the flang on your Kerker, and go but Jeffs post.thin flanges need an extra 1/8"longer clam shells.
On a side note.
I find it usefull to glue the orings in place on the head with high heat silicone.U will find that the orings do not self center in the head, so the oring will not be in line with the port and the header pipe. No point doing all that porting and then blocking off the port with a gasket.

OK, I think I have this all figured out... (yeah right! )...

Got out both the KZ900 manual and the KZ1000 manuals for comparisons. As previously written, both have the same OEM part numbers for the split collars, flanges are obviously different. Based on your replies, the biggest issue is the flange thickness on the Kerker header to exhaust ports on the head itself.

As can be reviewed, the left image (KZ1000 collar) uses the rubber band trick for holding the split collars in place... B)

As Jeff and others replied, use a thicker or two copper gasket if required. High temp Copper gasket sealer as well.

Red-Line collars and flange kit is the way I'll go... Sorry Jeff, prefer to order through Z1 but since I need the split collars I'll order all through them.

Not to worry, I have a whole slew of other parts I need at Z1... ;)

Thanks all,
