starter nut

I am picking up a motor that was fitted with a starter nut and total loss electrical. To swap it back I should only need to reinstall a stator and stuff right? Also, is the stock starter enough for a 810 kitted motor or is there something I need to swap it out with? Thanks in advance.

You will need the stator, rotor and cover. You will also need all of the stuff that comes on the panel that fits under the left side cover to start with. I'm guessing the bike was used for drag racing so who knows how it has been molested. Parts are cheap so it shouldn't be a big deal to fix.

the starter clutch inside the engine might have a little extra stress on it depending on the compression level.

pop the belly pan off and look inside to verify the starter clutch is even in there..
