i have one of these well seasaned pipes. it looks like one hell of a header. i've had friends in the past that had this pipe on their bikes. problem is, its loud. where can a guy get a baffle for this. must have been a pipe the dealer offered. any ideas? does kerker still make one? thanks. bruce

As has been mentioned by MFolks, Supertrapp now owns Kerker and Kerker and Kawasaki have a long and glorious history together. Supertrapp should have replacement baffles for sale:)

If it's your basic Kerker,
Dennis Kirk
has all the different baffles, end caps, wrapping, etc.

Patton and Mtkawboy, these are nice sites that I added to my favorites. Thanks. But I believe they are all straight through baffles. Competition or street, bigger or smaller pipes, more packing, they are still all too loud. They all blow out the packing pretty fast. From my experience, the mechanical or non straight through baffles are the quietest. IF you can get them. I was lucky. Keep an eye on eBay and from time to time they pop up. I have a Kerker style built by Supertrapp, the new owners. I got it back in the late 80's for my '84 GPZ1100. It came with the two piece aluminum canister staight through competition baffle with glasspack and Supertrapp end. You had to almost remove all the supertrapp discs to quiet it down but then you would be choking it and get that awfull Supertrapp PFT PFT PHT sound. The mechanical baffle I found on eBay still uses glass pack but it holds in place longer by the staggered baffle tubes. You keep in the packing and control the sound, which is still pretty nice, by stacking the Supertrapp discs about ten deep. It's a one piece chrome pipe which has a better classic superbike look than the competition pipe. There's really no seat of the pants performance difference between the two on the stock bike. I was also able to replace the straight through with one of these on a real Kerker pipe on an '80 Honda four back when Kerker was alive and they were readily available.
So, keep an eye open for one on eBay or better yet, a good fab welder can make one up using the baffle as a pattern for not much cost. My 2 cents worth, in all my years with four into one sound on the street, it's the only way to go.
