The ZR-7 motor can be spiffed up by sliding in GPZ pistons and cams. Still available. The Zephyr 550 also benefits greatly from simply putting in GPZ pistons and cams. My wifes Zephyr 550 dynoed at 69 horsepower with this set-up. The pistons slide right in and the cams dropped in. We slotted the cam gears and degreed them up. hope this helps.

hhhmmm! very interesting thread. Do you think zr7 exhaust would bolt up to a kz?

Edit: My bad I didn't see that this thread went on to page 2 and Bluemeanie had already answered. Yes you only need to make a rear muffler bracket and use the shorter style of exhaust inserts used on the 750's other than that it bolts right on. Nice quiet system and being stainless it should last forever. It is heavy as heck though.
