Bummer, I didn't even get to mention the 84 GPz1100 throttle bodies I have (and I know McDroid has some as well, we've bidded against each other on eBay)

No, don't keep your mouth shut...this is how we all learn and I know I like the bantering and it keeps me thinking about Kawasaki's...:) Both OnkelB Steell (and many others) know to double check (if possible) info from Kawasaki.com as there are surprising errors.

And just how did we learn that? By posting something we'd read in the parts diagrams at kawasaki.com as fact, and then getting our butts handed to us on a platter (well, me anyway) :D :D

Sheesh, no one's right every time, not even me :P

As soon as I shut the computer down & went to bed I realised I was wrong. I had owned an 82 that was converted to Cv's, It wasnt worth starting the computer again & editing it that late so I just took the blasting which I knew was coming

It's not a blasting, it's just some guys saying you're full of crap. :D

Just kidding :)

I would "really" like to see a pic of that motor discussed in the original post.
Wonder if he'll ever be back?

Yeah, no blasting at all, don´t worry about it. Btw, my 82 1100 is converted to CVs too, which I like - I don´t know dick about FI anyway.

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

As Steell has already suggested the GPz 1000 is also known as ZX1000-A1/A2 (86/87) or Ninja 1000R and can be found on buykawasaki under those names.

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

Does the cylinder block (between the head and the case) look like the pic below? Notice the lack of fins for cooling. 86 and 87 are the same, nothing interchanges with the earlier ones.

If the motor you have is rebuilt, putting it in a KZ frame would be cool :)
