DON'T use an orange filter. Get yourself a Wix filter. Part number for your bike is 24942.

Okay, I should explain a little...
The inside end pieces of the orange filters are cardboard which can deteriorate and possibly clog the filter as well as the oil pick-up screen. Also, the Wix filter comes with the two o-rings (The large one on the filter cove and the small one on the filter bolt).

FRAM is a four letter word! It's like putting Kenda tikes on your machine.

The Fram part number is CH6013, but I wouldn't even consider putting that crap in my bike after taking one look at it. I went and got the OEM Kawi one from the stealership. I like metal endcaps over cardboard.

FRAM is trash. Use K&N oil filters.

Funny coincidence. The FRAM filter that goes on a 750 twin is the CH6014, which also comes with the three O rings for the side plate that covers the filter.... and the whole thing costs about $6 total.

The O rings alone (if purchased separately) cost about $18....

So, even if I throw the filter away, I still made $12.

I can't figure out what cardboard ends you all mean, there isn't anything like that on it. It isn't orange, it's all metal and rubber with the paper inner filter.
