Misc. whining over stuff that's my own d*$% fault

I was very happy to buy a bike for my wife (who just got her bike license) about a month ago. Why? Because we got her an '81 KZ750 LTD 
Not so happy this week when she ran it out of oil and ruined the crank
Soooo, right now we are trying to figure out how to get her back on the road. Probably we will have to pick up another running engine and do a switcheroo.
This would be bad enough if it meant one bike off the road, but currently my 700 (nee 650) is still not running after my rebuild on it (although it will be soon). *groans*
Anyhow, just needed somewhere to whine. Thanks for your time
(And yes, pictures of both bike will be coming soon. The change to mine is huge!)
