It's a roller bearing crank, each bearing has to be installed on it's pin, and then the crank and pin is pressed together. I'm not sure how many pieces there are to a 1000 crank, but I think it's around 10.
Lots of places for it to twist.

You could remove the crank and send it off to have it trued and welded, then it would not twist again
Falicon comes to mind, but APE probably does it along with a dozen more.
We don't true them. Send it to Gardner Racing.

This could turn into a spendy situation. Cam chain, back cut tranny, oversized pistons, all new cam chain sprockets, head work, valves and on and on... :laugh:

My 650 cafe project started last November, and will hopefully finally be finished up this coming weekend so I know that feeling!!! But the feeling you'll get when it's all said and done and you learned the things you learned getting it from basket case to daily rider will be awesome. Please don't turn a complete bike into parts!!!
