yep, wire wheel has worked for me too. just not too much force and definately stuff the jugs.

Got the jug holes stuffed. I have been here many times over the years. I just have never had one so hard to remove. I will tackle the gasket tonight if I have time. When I do a job like this, after it goes back together, I run the bike just long enough to have the oil flush any crud off the engine and into the filter then change both. Has worked just fine for me for the last 35 years of working on these 4 cylinder motors......thanks again for the help...chris3
