The one I posted above is from Goodson and runs around $1300. A little steep unless you do as many heads as we do, then it is a blessing.

Yeah, you can do and make some neat stuff when you have a million bucks (probably even more) worth of tooling and machines. :D

The HAAS machining center alone costs way more than my house :woohoo:

The adapter you made for me is stout Roy. If you ever get the chance, you should weld up a bunch of those things as I get asked about them all the time.

As far as renting compressors and such, go to ANY tool store and ask if they have a 29mm adapter. It doesn't matter how fancy a machine looks, if it doesn't fit, it won't work.

Yep you can, with all the automotive related manufacturing plants closing around here the population is decreasing while developers are still building housing additions.

The cheapest HAAS VMC starts out at $44,000 bare, and the options (required really) increase the price rapidly.

My house is probably worth less than $45K (but it's paid for)

It makes life a lot easier when I don't have a mortgage or rent to pay :)

My Lathe and vertical mill are probably worth $2k and do everything that I need them to do, but I'm just a home shop machinist not a business :D

I made up six tools like the one i gave Wired George. A member requested two so i made up tools out of all the buckets i have.If anyone needs one i sell them for 12.00. I don't make any money off these. They are time consuming and a pain in the "Bahootie" to make.
This small batch cost me a grinder die and a brake cylinder hone. I also had to buy a tank of oxygen and gas. Roy

Roy, Holler if you need more buckets. I have a few extra... Also, yesterday after church, I got sick of waiting for the game to start so I went up and pulled off the covers and split the cases on the engine that had a bad 2nd gear. If you remember, you gave me a transmission to put in months ago. I finally got around to it. Pulled old and put in new and got the cases buttoned back up. Still have to find a few cover gaskets and the engine will be ready to use again. Thanks! I will also have your carburetors done by the next trip down this way unless you want them quicker and then I will UPS them... let me know!

Hang onto your gaskets. I am going to be putting in an order soon for parts for my project bike and will just order the couple extra gaskets I need. I have about 1/2 a gasket kit left over from some project... I can also cut the gaskets if I need them quick... Thanks!
