I just found a stock exhaust system for my 1980 KZ750 H1 LTD. My bike currently has a MAC header ... I need a set of exhaust sleeves and collars to mount the stock exhaust ... will these parts >>> Will These Work? >>> from a 1983 Spectre 550 work on my 750 ???

Bluemeanie, you looked up the wrong 750 :)
The 1980 750 four is actually listed as a 740 on kawasaki.com.

Here's the actual list that uses the same holders as the 80 750H1.

Oh, I guess I should have known that!:S Why would it be under 740? Is it because 750's are actually I believe 722's?(or close to that) Well that's good news for 2M4Dale.

One note of caution here Dale, while Steell's Info on the flanges is correct (the 550's and 750's use the same flange) the split keepers are different. If you look at the headpipes on your exhaust you should see a wider metal ring built into the side of the pipe, this is about a 1/2" thick. Because of this you will need a set of collars that are shorter than what is used on the 550's and 650's. I went thru this when I put the ZR7 exhaust on my 650 C-1. Not a huge deal they are still available from Mother Kaw IIRC they run about $3.00 each and you need 8 of them so you are looking at spending around another 30 bucks. Also the flanges you linked to are the flat smooth type where the correct ones for your bike are finned, I don't know if that makes any difference to you or not.

750's are 738cc, and I have no idea why Kawasaki lists the 80-82 750's under 740 and the 83 on as 750's. Maybe because they already had the 750 twins listed under 750?

Gringo ... if the sleeves just need to be shortened ... well hey !!! I'm a machinest ... I can do that !

Oh and smooth vs. finned ... don't really matter to me but I honestly think I like the smooth better. My bike isn't exactly stock anymore anyways.

And to top things off ... I may not use this stock system on my KZ anyways. Just playing around a bit. I do have a parts bike (thanks Gringo) that could be potentially restored someday as well.

Thanks guys for the help ... I'm gonna pull the Ebay trigger on these I think.
