Engine just STOPPED???? was created by Wizzard
Well heres the storie. I was on my way to work stopped for some smokes then restarted the bike ( witch was not making any strange noises what so ever and running good)I leave the store and go about a 1/2 mile to a red light put the bike in neutral bike still soundin good light goes green I grab the clutch as soon as I hit the shifter to put it in first the bike stoppes. The engine will not move got it to move a hair when I got the bike in gear and rolled it backwards. took the valve cover off and every thing looks good under there. Piston 1 is at the bottom with the exaust valve open 2 is at the top no valves open 3 at the top with the intake valve open and 4 at the bottom no valves open. This is all I know. Any Ideas where to star?? :(  :S

Has the engine seized up? Can you turn it over? Mine quit dead a few months back from a blown main fuse. Not enough info to go on. You did not accidently hit the kill switch did you.....chris3

Question, please --- At this time, does squeezing and releasing the clutch lever feel "normal" as with the usual disengagement and engagement of a properly operating clutch? :)

1 Well the plugs look fairly normal a little rich but not bad.

2 The clutch feels a little tighter or harder than normal.

3 I can not move the engine at all tight as a nuns $%^&

4 the timming chain looks ok did see anything abnormal.

Here just for reference only is what the FSM Trouble Shooting Guide says under "Engine won't turn over"

Valve seizure
Valve lifter seizure
Cylinder, piston seizure
Crankshaft seizure
Connecting rod small end seizure
Connecting rod big end seizure
Transmission gear or bearing seizure
Canshaft seizure
Kick ratchet gear not engaging
Primary reduction gear broken

But in your case, none of these seems immediately suspicious (to me at least) because of the sudden problem onset with a good running engine at low rpm, oil level okay, no smoke, no unusual noise.

Anything noticeable through the spark plug holes (such as a valve possibily in contact with a piston)?

Is there any movement of crankshaft in either direction by turning the 17mm nut on the end of the crankshaft (under the ignition cover)?

Fingers crossed in hoping for you an easy simple solution.
