KZ: Nothing seems to be broken. No bent valves, no mechanical reason to not run that I can find. Best I can tell, the coils are cracked from front to back, so I'll go out on a limb and say that was the original problem. But the bike hasn't been registered since 84 and I bet we're just looking at 20 years of rain, sleet and snow.

The liners have O-rings top and bottom and they come out really easily! All I did was turn the block upside down with support to either side of the liner I want out and tap it firmly and squarely with a shop hammer and a wooden block.

Since I don't need the whole block, If you didn't want to part with the whole thing that would still leave you with four spares, or if you want to get rid of the whole thing I'd go that route too.

Do you have any pistons around? And I've been getting whispers about early heads being weak. Should I start looking for a spare to rebuild?

Hey JJ,
Just to set the bar to a realistic level, I thought that you should see what Dread calls "The General" Remember the brass ring? Well here it IS!

KZCSI: How much do you think for your trouble and some shipping? Any spare pistons? I'll take all the help I can get. Hey I'm thinking about possibly trying to convert to port injection. That would get rid of the carbs and if you put pods right up to the head you get rid of the air box, and have lots of room for coils right in front of the battery. Any thoughts? Pitch in anyone.

Hi JJ,
Got no pistons. Will part with the block which is in good shape for $119.00 plus shipping. Send me a PM I'll ship it out. As I said I'm gonna keep my spare head. These parts come up on E-Bay constantly. You can even save a special search and have E-bay alert you whenever something is added that you're interested in.
