for a KZ1000 is the Jardine.Macs have an all metal
baffle, sound tinny.Vance and Hines have a bifurication plate seperating the collector chamber, they have a high
pitch more annoying tone.Bassani,Bub and Racer ones
had the best sound.

This is true. The Mac is what I use since it's a name I've had a long relationship with but I've modified it heavily to get where I want.
Don't be afraid to make it your own!

That's My opinion.
I've had Mine on for about 17 years now,and I couldn't imagine even TRYING anything else...I'd feel like I was cheating on My bike.
Kerker and Kawi...They just seem to go hand-in-hand.

Doesn't sound goofy to me. I love the sound of my stock pipes too. Ed

I have two Kerkers, but run a stock Kawasaki LTD system on my Z1. Why?? because I don't want to have to YELL when I talk to a riding buddy. And Johnny Law doesn't hear me coming;)
But on the KZ project ... I'll be using the Kerker, sound, looks and performance. Old school !!
1974 900 Z1 modified to look like a LTD , some engine mods. But I still have all the original parts.

Other pipes were quieter and made just as much
if not more power.
