i would not use the rolox discs on a die grinder.
way to easy to get some in the engine and do some major damage.
i've seen guys use them doing intake manifolds on cars and the material that comes off then will wipe out bearings real quick if you can't flush it all out.
it is like pouring sand in the engine.
plus, it's too easy to get stuck on one spot for too long and your cases won't be even anymore.
never-ending oil leaks then.
me, i use a razorblade and take my time.
just my opnion, i'm sure a lot of members had success with them.
never tried the permatex so i can't comment on it's effectivness.
might give the acetone thing a shot though

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

WD40 is the most misused automotive chemical out there.
It is a solvent.
It is not a lubricant.

Don't use it for this project.

If you are going to clean the case while the engine is still assembled, well...........cover everything.
Use duct tape and Plastic garbage bags
or
rags and tape.
Reconsider the Roloc, it is fairly easy to use.

Heres my comment about it. It works too slowly. The can says 5 to 10 minutes but it looks like it takes at least 2 hours. It makes a good engine cleaner, really good. I think I will buy another can just for cleaning the exterior of the engine, THEN I will be blinging
