The front guide cracks right where yours did in almost EVERY case. If you remove the thing, turn it over and look at the back. Bend it a tad and almost 100 percent of them that you look at will show a crack when you bend it a tad. Later, it can just fall apart as yours did and fall down the well to the pan. Doesn't hurt much if you can just fish it out of the pan.
