might be really close, but im gonna say it needs a little clearancing and i aint no fan of metal filings in crank bearings!:Pmax size on 900 sleeves is 1015 and that leaves very little meat, max size on a 1000 sleeve is 1105 so they are definately a little bigger;)

Sandy,
Is that part # a superceded part? If so they could just used updated cases for the 1000's and just back dated their fitment chart.

Both 14001-5022 and 14001-5025 (both #'s listed for the cases) are crosslisted for all sorts of air-cooled 1000's and 900's including the KZ900A4. However, my KZ1000A1 jugs do not fit in my Z1A cases...it will take some machine work.

and for thr record, you dont have to have them machined/bored. you can do it youself with a dremmel. just make it big enough for the cylinders to slide down all the way. i did the same thing fitting a 750 block and sleeves to my 650 cases

) and as soon as I pull the pistons off the rods in my 1000 cases, I'm going to measure both my 1000 and Z1A cases and post the differences.
