thats the way id normally do it if its just a cleanup but for a big jump its easier just to have a machine shop do it;)and for thr record, you dont have to have them machined/bored. you can do it youself with a dremmel. just make it big enough for the cylinders to slide down all the way. i did the same thing fitting a 750 block and sleeves to my 650 cases
