Needle Bearing Clutch Pusher

Well, so much for my memory. :S I can't remember exactly how my needle bearing goes in for the clutch pusher. Mine is a little different because the needle bearing installs on the pressure plate and uses the stock pusher.

The question is, where does the thrust washer go? There was only 1, not 2 as I've seen with the pusher kits. I think the thrust washer goes between the bearing and the pressure plate. Does this sound right?

BTW, where would the washers go in the regular needle bearing clutch pushers anyway? One on each side of the bearing?

Great idea, but the needle bearing pushers are aftermarket, so I don't have a diagram. I did some searching for what it offered now and they all seem to include 2 thrust washers. I doesn't make sense to me to have a washer between the bearing and the pusher, but maybe that's where mine should have gone?? I put it between the pressure plate and the bearing. (It's under the bearing in the photo above).

These are such a popular add on that I thought I'd have all kinds of advice on this one.

OK, the picture below is the pusher, bearing, and 2 washers. Where do the washers go? What if you only have one washer? Someone's gotta know this.

Hmmm...I have one installed,and if I'm not mistaken,You put the needle bearing plate in between the 2 washers. (on the aftermarket one.)
If You think about it,it makes nothing but sense,doing it that way.

I bought Mine from Jeff,so maybe He'll chime in...

The washers are the race for the thrust bearing.

That makes sense but I wonder if my type of pusher needs 2 washers?? It has only had one for as long as I can remember:blink: I think the washer needs to protect the aluminum pressure plate, but the bearing should be OK against the steel pusher, right?? I hope anyway...

. . .maybe you got shorted a washer in your kit.

On the Z1 site, in the picture provided, I can only see one washer for this model:

Curious... is there more than one supplier? This seems to be made by APE.
