For the primary chain (I assume it's the 750 four), get one for a Honda CB900C (81-83 900 Custom), it's the same chain but a lot cheaper. For the main and rod bearings, get the part numbers from Kawasaki.com, then go to Ron Ayer's website and see what the price is.

I use mrcycles.com for most of my OEM carb parts purchases as they have about the best prices.

great! ive got a two places that are providing excellent prices. now the next problem i see is that there are three different bushing choices on buykawasaki.com but i dont see any difference besides when i put them into the parts finder for the sites i have they have BL BR for an extension of their name. bottom left? bottom right? how do i know how much of each one to get? i just wanna throw them in there and be done with it, but something is telling me its not that easy. i also plan to replace the connecting rod bushings as well. are those going to have different name extensions too? i need help. and if possible, supervision. we cant have it all though.

The crankshaft bushings are color coded, stock bushings are green or marked A, 1st oversize is black (BL) or maked B, 2nd oversize is brown (BR) or marked C. Measure your crankshaft journals and give Jeff at Z1 Enterprises a call, he can tell you which ones you need.

i pulled one of the ones off of the top and looked at it. theres no colors on it anywhere. the only markings are D2B and a symbol on the end.i talked to rob at z1 yesterday and he was having a hard time due to the fact they are colored. what now?

alright! i got some pages out of the factory service manual (dont worry, mine should be on the way). special thanks to guitargeek on that one. now my next question is one i could probably figure out if i wasnt so impatient. when i buy the journal bearings, do they come in a pair or do i have to buy each half? that could get expensive...

Each half is priced separately, they don't come in pairs, and I have no idea why.

plasti-gauge them to see how far out your clearances are before you dump a bunch of money into it.an old guy showed me a trick many many years ago about checking journals with a penny ,rub the edge of the penny across the journal if it picks up any copper on the journal youve got bigger problems;)

CHAIN, PRIMARY

I knew I had found it at a reasonable price somewhere!
