Hi gang, just wondering if I can go ahead and assemble my motor before I get it glass beaded. Will glass beading mess up the gaskets or anything else?
thx

do it before you assemble the motor, those glass beads have a strange ability to get into places you would never imagine:S ;)

ok thx guys. I wasnt sure,... the aircraft paint stripper didnt work so Im going to go with glass beading. I figured I could get a jump on assembly before I get a chance to have it done, but I guess not
oh and I have been blasted in the face enough with compressed air and dirt to use safety glasses now:whistle:

I used Dawn once and she wouldn't stop calling me for months..:P ...

Wash it good, rins it good, blow everything out....then do it at least one more time...

We pressure wash anything that we have to blast. You want absolutly none of that media getting into the motor.

Check out some of before and after bead-blasting pics HERE.

Looking forward to doing the rest of the engine after disassembly and separation.
